Experienced SAP Developer (ABAP & SAP UI5 / Integration Suite)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Developer with a strong professional background in ABAP and SAP UI5. In this role, you will develop and support high-quality SAP solutions while working closely with functional and technical colleagues in Belgium and India.

Beyond technical expertise, this role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, as you will be part of an international, multicultural team. You are expected to contribute to discussions actively, challenge ideas constructively, and build strong working relationships across borders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain SAP solutions using ABAP

· Develop and enhance applications using SAP UI5 and/or build integrations using SAP Integration Suite (CPI).

· Provide advice on best technical options

· Maintain technical specification documents & adhere to documentation strategy

· Work on SAP S/4HANA-related developments, including performance-optimized and clean-core aligned solutions.

· Provide advice on best technical options for our solution & challenge proposed solutions

· Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.

· Ensure high code quality through reviews, testing, documentation, and adherence to SAP for best practices.

· Analyze and resolve incidents and defects in a structured and proactive way.

· Help in testing to validate solution or fix.

· Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, tools, and processes.

· Participate in project quality management tasks, such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents, and code reviews

Collaboration & Communication

· Actively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders in Belgium, participating in meetings, workshops, and design discussions.

· Clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Communicate progress, risks, and solutions in a transparent and professional manner.

· Respect cultural differences and contribute positively to a multicultural team environment.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

· 5 plus years of experience in developing using core SAP ABAP.

· Experience in developing UI5,Fiori, Gateway, and OData technologies.

· Experience in developing CDS Views in HANA.

· Familiarity with Git-based version control and modern development workflows is a plus.

· Experience in creating technical designs of the solution is a plus

· Experience working with European or Belgian teams.

· Knowledge of SAP security, authorization, or integration with non-SAP systems.
