Description
Core Accounts Receivable Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end A/R processes, including invoice generation, charge entry, and payment posting
- Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness
- Apply payments, adjustments, and credits to customer accounts
- Monitor aging reports and help track outstanding balances
- Support follow-up on unpaid or underpaid accounts
- Research and resolve basic billing discrepancies and account variances
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to internal controls
- Communicate professionally with patients, internal teams, or payers regarding billing questions
- Learn and utilize billing and accounting software, including spreadsheets and practice management or ERP systems
Key Skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of insurance, coding, and payment rules
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic Excel and Microsoft 365 knowledge
- Basic accounting or finance knowledge
