About the role
We're looking for a moderately experienced Qml/Qt UI developer with C++23 familiarity to help with fixing bugs and making sure our application runs smoothly. Our project is a strictly desktop application for Windows and MacOS (no Linux). Mobile and Web developers please respect your and our time and do not apply.
Important:
We are NOT using QtCreator.
We work in VS Code, Visual Studio and Xcode.
You must have access to both Windows and MacOS hardware.
You must have prior experience with complex desktop cross-platform applications.
Your job will be to:
Familiarize yourself with project architecture
Replicate and fix UI issues reported by the QA team
Make sure that the solutions are stable, performant, and address the core issue
Communicate with the QA team
Work with QML code
Work with Qt C++ code
Required skills:
2-3 years of experience with Qml/Qt UI development (we are using version 6.8.2)
1-3 years of C++ experience with modern C++ (at least C++17, but we use features from C++23 in our codebase)
Working knowledge of Git and Cmake
Familiarity with Xcode, VS Code, and Visual Studio IDEs
Debugging in Xcode and Visual Studio
Attention to detail
Very good English comprehension skills, good communication skills
Good to have:
Familiarity and experience with QRhi/QSG
Familiarity and experience with video and still image processing, especially color spaces and color transformations
Familiarity and experience with Metal GPU acceleration, including Metal Shading Language
Familiarity and experience with OpenCL
