Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000, based on experience

 

General Description

The position provides broad-based support within the Human Resources (HR) Department and throughout the district. Responsibilities include processing and maintaining employment records in accordance with the district policies and employment law; recruiting and hiring processing; managing various employee programs; records management and report processing for district/state/federal reports as needed; FMLA processing; tuition reimbursent and salary advancements; responding to internal and external information requests; promoting a positive and collaborative workplace climate that supports the goals and mission of the district. 

 

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required, with coursework in a related field preferred, and three years of related human resources experience. Firm knowledge of federal and state employment laws, PA School Code, FMLA, and ADA required. Experience working in public education is preferred. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office as well as experience working with Human Resources Information Systems. This position requires confidentiality, discretion as well as excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer recruitment and hiring processes for all District positions, including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and extending job offers with HR Director approval.

  • Maintain applicant tracking system and manage candidate communications.

  • Ensure District compliance with employment laws, benefits administration, and certification requirements; monitor and maintain mandated records as mandated by PDE.

  • Manage employee records, including transfers, leaves, retirements, salary changes, tenure, certifications, and seniority.
  • Administer leave of absence provisions, tuition reimbursement, and salary advancement programs.

  • Prepare and maintain salary information for all employees in the HR database, process salary advancements; prepare salary data annually for budget. 
  • Collaborate with payroll and supervisors on salary adjustments, absences, FMLA, and other personnel matters.

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues and contract interpretation in the absence or at the request of the HR Director.

  • Prepare reports, surveys, correspondence, contracts, and statistical information as needed.

  • Represent the District at job fairs and attend meetings as requested by the HR Director.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Director.
