Collins Aerospace, Connected Aviation Solutions, Connectivity & Enablement Solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day priorities in solving clients VHF/UHF Radio, Telephone, Networking & PC related issues from the Montreal office.
What You Will Do
Coordinate, prioritize and resolve issues encountered by customers.
Analyze system failures, identify and restore equipment malfunctions and failures.
Escalate critical/complex issues that will impact the business.
Performs a variety of duties, including but not limited to servicing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and removing equipment.
Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with specific customer specifications.
Manage technical products, services, logistics and provisioning, quantity surveying, and configurations to assigned customers.
Troubleshoot technical problems and recommends actions to company or customer representatives.
Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
Acts as local on-site Collins Aerospace representative to the customer's organization.
Manage statement of work to meet customer and contract requirements
Quality Issue Management
Contact customer, collect feedback, and establish and maintain good relationships with customers.
Travel up to 30%
Must maintain compliance with RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card): Specific to Canadian airports, the RAIC requires background checks and training to meet airport security access requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
Communication skills in French (spoken/written) and English (spoken/written). Communications with customers and the different project teams are mainly in English, due to the international nature of the role.
Prior working experience with Radio VHF/UHF
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior working experience in IT, Computer Hardware repair
Completion of a practical course in the RF Radio & Electronics
Completion of a practical course in Networking
Demonstrated leadership, training ability, responsibility, and the capability of directing the activities of other technical personnel
