Plan, direct, and coordinate the administration, integration, and governance of institutional enterprise applications and related software systems used across the college. Ensure that enterprise, departmental, and user-level applications support institutional operations, data integrity, security, and strategic goals. Collaborate with IT technical staff and departmental leadership to align application use with institutional priorities and ensure effective system performance, integration, lifecycle management, and appropriate governance. Coordinate with technical IT staff to support enterprise applications and security initiatives while focusing on governance, integration, and institutional alignment rather than direct system administration.
The Systems Administrator receives supervision from the Executive Director of Information Technology.
Manage the lifecycle of institutional applications, including CRM systems, budgeting software, academic technologies, and administrative systems.
Coordinate administration of enterprise collaboration platforms (e.g., Mediasite, Zoom.)
Coordinate administration of emergency notification systems in alignment with institutional communication and safety processes.
Coordinate administration of user accounts and room resources within 25Live in collaboration with IT and functional stakeholders.
Coordinate system selection, implementation, upgrades, and retirement to ensure alignment with institutional needs and technology standards.
Maintain awareness of and track institutional use of enterprise, departmental, and user-level software applications, including one-off and desktop tools, to support system visibility, data governance, and security alignment.
Assist in identifying and documenting non-enterprise or department-level applications and coordinate with IT leadership to evaluate risk, integration, and support considerations.
Administer IT HelpDesk and delegate escalations as necessary.
Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of institutional cybersecurity policies and procedures in coordination with IT leadership, without direct responsibility for technical security operations.
Assist in tracking and maintaining compliance requirements related to data security and privacy (e.g., FERPA, GLBA).
Maintain documentation related to cybersecurity policies, standards, and audit readiness.
Coordinate communication of cybersecurity alerts, advisories, and best practices to campus stakeholders.
Coordinate vulnerability scanning and assessment activities with third-party security auditors, ensuring timely identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
Serve as a liaison between departments and IT for cybersecurity-related initiatives and awareness efforts.
Assist in organizing and coordinating cybersecurity meetings, updates, and reporting activities.
Assist in gathering documentation and information for cybersecurity audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
Support tracking of identified risks, remediation efforts, and follow-up actions.
Maintain records of security incidents, responses, and lessons learned in coordination with IT.
Coordinate cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including training programs, communications, and campaigns.
Support development and distribution of training materials related to safe technology use and data protection.
Track participation and completion of required cybersecurity training across departments.
Work with IT to ensure enterprise applications align with institutional security standards and access control practices.
Assist in reviewing user access roles and supporting periodic access audits for enterprise systems.
Coordinate with vendors and IT to ensure application updates and configurations align with security requirements.
