Job description

Works closely with Digital Video Editor, Indian Language services and assist in ideation, research, script writing, proof reading and program coordination. You will be part of a team producing high quality and high impact digital videos for several platforms but not restricted to digital media.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Conducts thorough background research to support story development and analytical shows ensuring all coverage is informed and accurate.
  • Verify facts, ensuring credibility in all output. You will also write and review scripts and on-screen text to maintain grammatical accuracy and editorial consistency.
  • You will also work closely with video teams of Indian Language service.
  • Play a central role in ideating and conceptualizing program formats, contributing creative treatments and storytelling approaches from concept to execution.
  • Strong digital production skills across text, video, and social are essential.
  • You must have strong Digital (text/video/social) and TV production skills and be able to work alongside correspondents on the scripting, structuring, and editing process. Knowledge of radio production is desirable.
  • News is a high-pressure environment, and you should be able to demonstrate an ability to work within that environment and to tight deadlines. You will be able to work as part of a team and have experience in handling tense situations.
  • A key part of the role involves guest coordination, identifying, contacting, and managing all aspects of guest appearances, including logistics and briefings.
  • Familiar with negotiating exclusive access, information or material and having a good network of contacts, both internally and externally.
