Role Description
The Collections Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the collections team, ensuring effective debt recovery strategies and adherence to company policies. This full-time, on-site role is located in Chennai. Key responsibilities include supervising team performance, implementing collection strategies, preparing regular performance reports, and addressing escalated customer issues. The Collections Team Lead will collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and maintain compliance with regulations while fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Experience in debt recovery strategies, customer relationship management, and conflict resolution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data interpretation
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise across multiple teams
- Proficiency in using collection management software, CRM tools, and MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of credit policies, loan products, and regulatory compliance best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Prior experience in a credit or collections role, preferably in financial services or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related area; additional certifications in credit management are a plus
