Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Collections Specialist role based in Faridabad. The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and following up on outstanding customer accounts, ensuring timely cash collection while maintaining a professional and respectful approach. Daily activities include contacting customers via phone or digital channels, reminding them of due payments, negotiating repayment plans where required, and documenting all interactions in the system. The role also involves coordinating with the finance and customer service teams to resolve disputes, verify payment details, and escalate issues when necessary. The specialist will analyze account status reports, track collection metrics, and contribute to process improvements that reduce delinquencies and support positive customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong debt collection and cash collection skills, with experience handling overdue accounts and negotiating repayment solutions.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities, including clear verbal and written interaction and a customer-centric approach.
- Basic understanding of finance and lending concepts, preferably within consumer or digital lending environments.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in collection systems.
- Proficiency with common office and CRM tools; comfort working with spreadsheets and account reports.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
- Prior experience in collections, tele-calling, banking, NBFCs, or fintech is preferred.
- Minimum of a high school diploma; a degree in finance, business, or a related field is an advantage.
