Role Description The Collections Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for managing and collecting outstanding loan payments from customers in a professional and compliant manner. In this position, the representative will contact customers via phone, email, and other approved channels, provide reminders about upcoming or overdue payments, and negotiate workable repayment arrangements. The role includes reviewing customer accounts, updating records in the collections system, and coordinating with the finance team to ensure accurate cash collection and account reconciliation. The Collections Representative will also handle customer inquiries related to repayment, explain loan terms clearly, and escalate complex cases or potential risks to senior team members. Success in this role requires consistent follow-up, adherence to regulatory and company policies, and a strong focus on respectful, solution-oriented customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong debt collection and cash collection skills, with experience managing overdue accounts and repayment plans.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and customer service skills to interact clearly, empathetically, and professionally with a diverse customer base.
- Candidates should possess a basic understanding of finance and loan processes, including repayment structures and account reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business, or a related field are beneficial.
- Prior experience in collections, banking, lending, or financial services is an advantage, along with familiarity with collections software or CRM tools.
- Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in New Delhi, demonstrate reliability, integrity, and adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards.
