About the role
Collabora is a global consultancy specializing in delivering the benefits of open source software to the commercial world. They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the quality and reliability of their products/services by conducting thorough testing and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Find a cause of the issue and test to check the fix works in a complex environment involving multi-tier web applications
Perform functional, regression and performance testing to identify and report defects or inconsistencies in product functionality
Collaborate with product development and project management teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects
Document and track test results, issues and resolution efforts to ensure clear communication and visibility of QA activities
Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions
Contribute to the establishment and enhancement of quality assurance standards and best practices within the organization
Active participation on regular internal QA calls
Hands-on troubleshooting sessions with customers via video conferencing and/or remote desktop tools

Qualification:
Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual testing
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes
4-5 years Linux experience, including compiling software, command line and debugging tools
Knowledge and experience of Docker and Kubernetes
Basic knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
