Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking dedicated and responsible Construction Flaggers to join our construction team! The Construction Flagger will play a meaningful role in ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic in and around construction sites. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, a strong attention to detail, and a dedication to safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Direct and control traffic flow in and around the construction site following established safety procedures and regulations
  • Communicate optimally with drivers, crew, and pedestrians to ensure a clear understanding of traffic patterns and instructions
  • Use hand signals, flags, and other signaling devices to guide traffic and ensure safe passage through construction zones
  • Adjust traffic control measures as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of vehicles
  • Collaborate with construction crew members to coordinate flagging operations with ongoing construction activities
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices, such as cones, signs, and barricades, in accordance with guidelines
  • Report any safety hazards, violations, and accidents to supervisors or appropriate personnel

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED

Qualification

  • Flagger Certification Card
  • Relevant work history as a Construction flagger or similar role is preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of operation of telecommunications systems

Skills

  • Clear Communication: Proficient in providing detailed instructions for traffic modifications.
  • Focused and Alert: Maintains sharp attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
  • Team Worker: Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Safety-Conscious: Adheres closely to safety protocols and regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Must Pass PAT (Physical Ability Test)
  • Must Pass Pre-employment Drug Screening
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions
  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise
  • Regularly exposed to adverse weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
