Director, Product Design, Institutional Products

As the Director of Product Design, Institutional Products, you will be responsible for leading product design for Coinbase's institutional product suite. You will partner closely with product management and engineering to define the long-term vision and strategy for these products, as well as lead design execution to bring new capabilities to market. This is a key leadership role, with the opportunity to help shape the future of crypto for the world's largest financial institutions. Core Responsibilities: - Lead the product design function for Coinbase's institutional product suite, including Coinbase Prime, Coinbase Custody, and other enterprise-focused offerings - Drive the long-term vision and user experience strategy for these mission-critical products, in partnership with product and engineering leads - Attract, develop, and retain a world-class team of product designers to execute on this vision - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to define roadmaps and ship new capabilities - Advocate for design thinking and user-centered design principles across the organization - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape to inform future product direction - Serve as a design thought leader and evangelist, both internally and externally Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in product design, with a strong track record leading design for complex, enterprise-grade products - Proven ability to lead, coach, and grow high-performing design teams - Deep expertise in user-centered design methodologies and best practices - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build alignment across different functions - Passion for crypto and the future of finance - Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field
