Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, administer, and maintain IBM Cognos Analytics(11.2.4 and 12.1.0) on Windows servers.
- Manage and support Cognos infrastructure components including Content Manager, Dispatcher, Gateway, and related services.
- Monitor platform performance, system health, and service availability to ensure seamless reporting operations.
- Perform environment setup, migrations, patching, upgrades, and release support across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cognos administration, report failures, scheduling, security, and performance.
- Manage user access, security roles, authentication, and authorization in line with organizational policies.
- Partner with infrastructure, database, network, and application support teams to address incidents and drive issue resolution.
- Install, renew, and configure SSL certificates for Cognos environments to ensure secure communication and compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Identify, assess, and support remediation of infrastructure and application vulnerabilities impacting Cognos servers and related components.
- Review logs, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for Cognos environments.
- Work closely with the IBM vendor/support team for product-related issues, escalations, root cause analysis, and additional technical support as needed.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, technical runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure adherence to SLA commitments, change management procedures, security standards, and audit requirements.
- Provide production support in rotational shifts, including off-hours or weekend support as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of Cognos architecture, security, and platform administration.
- Strong experience in Cognos installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation for administrative and monitoring tasks.
- Experience with MotioCI deployments and administration
- Experience with authentication, authorization, and user access management.
- Knowledge of IIS/web server integration and related configurations.
- Good hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
- Exposure to SSL certificate installation/configuration, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation processes.
- Familiarity with database connectivity and troubleshooting with SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift,DB2 or similar databases.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts / 24x7 support model.
- Experience with ITIL-based support processes and enterprise ticketing tools.
- Prior experience supporting financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Exposure to other BI/reporting tools such as Tableau and SAP Crystal Reports.
