About the role
As a POS QA Analyst – Fuel & Retail Systems, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and accuracy of point-of-sale solutions used in retail fuel environments. You will be a valued member of a delivery team and work collaboratively with developers, business analysts, and fuel vendors to validate end-to-end POS, payment, and fuel workflows across lab and integrated environments.
In this role, you will:
- Execute end-to-end testing of NCR/GK POS systems, including payment PINPAD integration with fuel dispensers.
- Design and execute test scenarios for fuel and retail workflows including sales, refunds, promotions, pricing, taxes, and multiple tender types.
- Validate POS integration with backend systems such as Order Management, inventory, pricing, promotions, loyalty platforms, and payment processors.
- Perform store lab testing including functional, system integration, regression, and end-to-end testing using DOS commands where applicable.
- Conduct fuel-specific validation including dispenser communication, grade pricing, authorization, settlement, and receipt generation.
- Perform backend data validation using SQL queries to ensure transaction accuracy and data integrity.
- Log, track, and retest defects using JIRA and maintain test documentation in Confluence.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and fuel vendors to resolve defects and support sprint activities.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring five days a week in Ankeny, Iowa, USA. Working arrangements may change based on project or client requirements, and expectations will be communicated clearly.
What you need to have to be considered
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience testing NCR or GK POS systems including fuel pump and payment integration.
- Experience designing and executing test scenarios across retail and fuel transactions including sales, returns, refunds, promotions, taxes, and multiple tender types.
- Strong understanding of POS integrations with backend systems such as OMS, inventory, pricing, loyalty, and payment processors.
- Solid knowledge of retail and fuel domain workflows including fuel authorization, settlement, and pricing.
- Hands-on experience performing backend data validation using SQL queries.
- Experience working across SDLC methodologies including Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile.
- Proficiency using JIRA and Confluence for defect tracking, test management, and documentation.
