Role Description The Online Bidder (Business Development) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chandigarh. This role focuses on identifying and bidding on relevant projects across online platforms and marketplaces, preparing tailored proposals, and coordinating with internal technical teams to scope and estimate work. The Online Bidder will engage with prospective clients through written and verbal communication, gather detailed requirements, and follow up consistently to convert leads into long-term business. Daily responsibilities include researching new opportunities, maintaining an organized pipeline, updating CRM or tracking tools, and collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate commitments and smooth project handovers. The role also involves monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and platform policies to refine bidding strategies and maximize win rates.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to identify suitable projects, interpret client requirements, and craft competitive bids.
- Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) for proposal writing, client interactions, clarifying requirements, and negotiations.
- Understanding of Information Technology concepts and common web/mobile technologies to collaborate effectively with technical teams and explain solutions to clients.
- Basic Project Management abilities to coordinate timelines, estimates, and deliverables with internal stakeholders and manage a structured sales pipeline.
- Proven experience in online bidding on platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, or similar marketplaces is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, prioritize multiple opportunities, and manage time effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, lead management systems, and basic MS Office or Google Workspace applications.
- Comfort working in a collaborative, cross-functional team and maintaining a professional, client-centric approach.
