We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who is passionate about building scalable,
resilient, and high-performance architectures. If you have spent your career solving core
backend engineering problems and want to own critical modules of a product used by

Role Overview
• Experience: 4+ Years of core backend development experience.
• Primary Stack: Node.js (Express.js / NestJS), Databases (SQL/NoSQL),
Microservices, AWS.
• Preference: Candidates coming from a Product-based company with a track record
of driving core development projects from scratch.
• Location: Bengaluru (HSR Layout)
Key Responsibilities
• Core Product Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and
secure backend services and APIs to power Codeyoung’s global web applications.
• Architecture & Scalability: Optimize backend infrastructure to handle high
concurrent traffic, low-latency live interactions, and real-time data streaming.
• Database Management: Architect and optimize complex database schemas, queries,
and indexing across relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and non-relational
(MongoDB/Redis) systems.
• Microservices & Integration: Transition and scale legacy systems into decoupled
microservices, and integrate critical third-party APIs (payment gateways, video
conferencing tools, CRM systems).
• Code Quality & Mentorship: Maintain exceptionally high code quality standards
through rigorous code reviews, automated unit testing, and technical documentation.
Mentoring junior developers on backend best practices.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
• Backend Expertise: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a
heavy focus on backend architecture using Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Product DNA: Prior experience working in a fast-paced product-based startup or
company, with a clear understanding of product lifecycles, user-centric engineering,
and high-ownership cultures.• Core Development Track Record: Proven experience building core modules,
internal frameworks, or complex architectures from scratch—not just maintaining
existing applications or handling simple CRUD APIs.
• System Design Skills: Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
principles, Design Patterns, Data Structures, and Microservice architectures.
• Cloud & DevOps exposure: Experience deploying and monitoring services on cloud
infrastructure (preferably AWS - Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS) and handling CI/CD
pipelines.
