Our learners have gone on to start new jobs, launch new companies, and lead new lives thanks to their work with Codecademy, and our platform has transformed the way businesses develop and retain their teams. Since 2011, our team has grown to over 200 employees serving 50+ million learners from 190+ countries. We've raised over $82M in venture capital funding from top investors including Prosus, Owl Ventures, Union Square Ventures, Y Combinator, and more--which gives us the capital to get stuff done in an impactful way. Join us to help build a business that empowers tens of millions of people to lead better lives! Senior Software Engineer – Fullstack (Acquisition) The Acquisition team is focused on experimentation, growth and user testing to help make lasting changes to our B2C business across the globe. The team will help grow our business by understanding what sets of offerings we want to present to our learners to help drive conversion (and ultimately get them to their learning goals). We are a team with the opportunity to drive meaningful change at Codecademy! If you're passionate about getting more people excited to learn technical skills through our products, this is the team for you. What You'll Do ● Leverage both frontend and backend technologies to deliver new products, features and user experiences to learners ● Architect efficient and reusable systems that drive complex web applications ● Collaborate closely with our Curriculum, Data Science, Design, Marketing, and Product teams to build an engaging user experience for our learners ● Build products and experiences people love through intuitive design and clear user experiences ● Take your ideas from concept to reality: use our experimentation systems to test different variations of our pages to experiment, iterate, learn, and repeat ● Be a champion for developing and adhering to engineering standards within the team. We want to build high-quality software that's easy to understand, easy to change, and works the way it's supposed to ● Put automated testing, tracking, and monitoring in place to ensure our website is always working as expected

About the company

Hello, World! Codecademy has helped tens of millions of learners upgrade their careers, build meaningful projects and gain confidence in their skills with engaging, accessible, and flexible education on programming and data skills. We provide hands-on interactive lessons ranging from Python to R to Javascript and everything in between. Our learners have gone on to start companies, new jobs, and new lives thanks to what they've learned with Codecademy, and we're thrilled to be working to take that impact to the next level. Codecademy was started in 2011 by two college students in a dorm room at Columbia that were frustrated by the huge gap between education and employment. Almost a decade later, we are a rapidly growing, diverse team of 100+ headquartered in SoHo, NYC. We've raised over $40m in venture capital funding from top investors including Union Square Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Naspers, Y Combinator, and more. If you want to help build a business that impacts tens of millions of people each year and helps them lead better lives, join us!
