About the role

CDRI is establishing a Data and Technology team to enable its member countries to use earth observation, geospatial, and infrastructure risk data and models combined with relevant technologies for informed decision-making that strengthens the resilience of their existing and future infrastructure. CDRI is looking for a Senior Geospatial Analyst to join this team and take responsibility for the various geospatial activities of the team. Key Roles and Responsibilities: · Lead the management, integration, and analysis of earth observation, geospatial, and risk data that underpin CDRI's products and services. · QA, QC, and updates of geospatial and risk data supplied by third parties and from deliverables such as new versions of GIRI and other tools developed for CDRI, recommending any necessary changes. · Perform the GIS analysis required to produce reports, maps, and data for product users and to support CDRI projects. · Collaborate with risk modelers and analysts to incorporate geospatial data and functionality into risk models. · Conduct geospatial training within CDRI and for member countries. · Provide geospatial technical assistance to users internally and from member countries. · Incorporate geospatial features in new CDRI products and tools. · Create web map applications, story maps, and reports displaying complex data analysis. · Create and manage a directory of open and proprietary geospatial and infrastructure risk data sources and platforms through online research and create documentation, including metadata and other data quality measures.
