Description
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and repair of 200+ scattered-site multifamily housing units, organization offices, and related properties. This role provides direct supervision of maintenance technicians and janitorial staff while remaining hands-on in maintenance operations to ensure safe, clean, and functional housing.
This position focuses on operational execution, staff coordination, work order management, preventative maintenance, and compliance with housing standards
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Operations (Hands-On)

Perform routine and corrective maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC support, carpentry, painting, flooring, and appliance repair.
Staff Supervision & Scheduling
Preventative Maintenance & Work

Perform annual monitoring for fire panels, extinguishers, elevators, and oversee small company vehicles.
Property & Vendor Coordination

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 5+ years of progressive building maintenance experience, including multifamily housing.
· 2+ years of experience supervising maintenance staff preferred.
· Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general building repairs.
· Ability to read work orders, basic diagrams, and equipment manuals.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between scattered-site locations.
· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and extended standing.
· Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency on-call support.
