This is not a traditional Product Designer role.
As a founding team member, you will define how users interact with our products—from their first visit to becoming long-term customers.
You will work closely with the Founder and AI Software Engineering Co-Founder to shape the product roadmap, validate ideas with users, and create seamless experiences that make solar simple and accessible.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end product experience.
- Define product vision and roadmap alongside the founding team.
- Conduct customer interviews and user research.
- Design intuitive user journeys for homeowners, businesses, installers, and manufacturers.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Build and maintain a scalable design system.
- Improve user onboarding, engagement, and conversion.
- Translate complex solar and AI workflows into simple user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver high-quality products.
- Use customer feedback and analytics to continuously improve the product.
Must Have qualifications:
- Proven experience designing digital products with an exceptional focus on user experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating web and mobile product design.
- Proficiency in Figma or similar UI/UX design tools.
- Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.
- Strong understanding of product thinking and customer-centric design.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building products from the ground up.
- Must be located within commuting distance of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in B2B SaaS, AI, marketplaces, or technology startups.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Knowledge of design systems and accessibility best practices.
- Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Hotjar, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity.
- Experience collaborating with software engineering teams in Agile environments.
- Basic understanding of AI-powered applications and conversational interfaces.
- Previous startup or founding experience is highly desirable.
