About Dreams
Dreams is a next-generation, Rust-based 3D game engine built from the ground up to compete with Unreal Engine and Unity. We are building the future of game development — faster, more powerful, and developer-friendly. We are at an exciting early stage with a working engine, and we're looking for a business-minded co-founder to join us and help us grow.
The Role
We are looking for a Co-founder & Head of Business Development who will own the entire business and commercial side of Dreams. This is a founding-level role — you will have equity, decision-making authority, and a direct seat at the table as we scale.
Your primary mission: land contracts and partnerships with gaming studios, publishers, and companies in the gaming and interactive media industries.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pitch, and close contracts with indie studios, mid-size studios, and AAA gaming companies looking for an alternative game engine
- Build and manage relationships with game publishers, studios, and industry decision-makers
- Drive B2B sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure
- Represent Dreams at gaming industry events, conferences, and expos (GDC, Gamescom, etc.)
- Lead fundraising conversations with investors, VCs, and accelerators in the gaming and tech space
- Define pricing models, licensing structures, and partnership agreements
- Work closely with the technical co-founder to align product roadmap with market needs
- Build and eventually lead a sales and business development team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships — ideally in the gaming, game tech, or interactive media industry
- Strong network within the gaming industry (studios, publishers, developers, investors)
- Track record of closing deals and generating revenue in a startup or early-stage environment
- Deep passion for gaming and understanding of the game development landscape
- Entrepreneurial mindset — you are comfortable with ambiguity and building from zero
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Prior experience as a founder, early-stage BD lead, or sales leader is a strong plus
