Job details:
Co-Founder — Zeerostock
Location: Nashik / Pune, India (with travel). Remote-first for the right person, but you will be on the ground when it matters. Commitment: Full-time. Equity + capital co-investment. Reporting to: No one. You're a founder.
What Zeerostock is
Industrial supply chains leak enormous value in the places nobody owns: obsolete drives sitting in a Rotterdam warehouse, decommissioned turbines in Puglia, PERC modules stranded in Sonora, SMT lines idled after a plant consolidation. Somewhere else, a procurement manager is quoting eleven weeks lead time for the exact part sitting in that warehouse.
Zeerostock exists to close that gap. We source, verify, price, and move surplus industrial assets and spare parts across borders — Europe, GCC, LATAM, South and Southeast Asia. Today that runs as a brokerage desk. What it becomes is infrastructure: proprietary realised-transaction pricing data on assets that have never had a public price, and the intelligence layer that makes it usable.
We're not building a listings site. Anyone can build a listings site. We're building the pricing authority for a market that currently runs on phone calls and guesswork.
The role
You take the technology. All of it. Architecture, product, the platform, the data layer, and eventually the team that builds it.
This isn't a CTO role with a founder title attached. Zeerostock is a supply chain company that runs on software. If you want to build in isolation and hand over a repo, this is the wrong ad.
What you'll own:
- The platform and the intelligence layer that sits on top of it — turning transaction history into a pricing signal that no competitor can replicate
- The systems that make the business repeatable: sourcing, verification, quoting, buyer matching, deal tracking. Every manual step is a scaling ceiling. You remove them.
- A sales flywheel. We have distribution and reach. What we don't yet have is the machinery that converts attention into qualified inbound, and inbound into closed transactions, without a human being the bottleneck at every stage.
- Hiring and leading the technical team as we scale
- Being in the room. Site visits, buyer meetings, supplier negotiations. You will carry a bag when the deal needs it.
Who I'm looking for
You've built from zero. Not managed a rebuild. Not joined at Series A. You've stared at an empty repo and a hard problem and shipped something that worked.
You know supply chain. Procurement, logistics, industrial distribution, MRO, manufacturing operations — somewhere in there you've done real time. You understand why a plant manager won't buy a €40k drive from a stranger on the internet, and what would change their mind. This isn't a nice-to-have. Domain intuition is most of the job.
You're accountable when it breaks. Anyone is a co-founder when the graph goes up. I'm looking for the person who says "that was mine, here's the fix" at 2 am on a Sunday when a shipment is stuck at customs and a buyer is threatening to walk.
You have a network. People in the industry who take your call. Suppliers, OEMs, plant heads, procurement leads, brokers. Relationships are the origination moat in this business and I want someone who brings some.
You'll put money in. Meaningful co-investment alongside meaningful equity. I'm not asking you to fund the company — I'm asking you to be exposed to it. The amount is negotiable; the principle isn't. If your downside is only time, our incentives diverge exactly when the pressure is highest.
Age is irrelevant. I don't care if you're 24 or 54. I care what you've built and how you behave when it's hard.
I have the origination, the deals, the market access, and the reach. I'm looking for Robin — not a sidekick, but the other half of the operation who makes the whole thing work at scale.
What this isn't
- A salaried CTO role. Early cash compensation will be modest and tied to what the desk earns.
- A safe bet. We're pre-scale, cross-border, in a market with real counterparty and regulatory complexity.
- A hands-off role. If you don't want customer calls, warehouse visits, and the occasional flight to inspect an asset, we'll frustrate each other.
- A place to be a passenger. You'll disagree with me, publicly and often, and I need you to.
How to apply
Skip the CV formalities. Send me:
- One thing you built from scratch — what it was, what broke, what you'd do differently.
- Your read on Zeerostock. Go look at what we're doing. Tell me the biggest hole in it. Be blunt; I'd rather hear it now.
- The flywheel. In under 300 words, how would you turn our current reach into a repeatable sales engine? I want your actual thinking, not a framework.
- Where you are, what your notice period looks like, and what capital participation you'd be comfortable with.
