Job Role: CNC Workshop Supervisor
Job Description
- Supervise daily CNC machining operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
- Monitor CNC machine performance, utilization, downtime, and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, process parameters, and safety procedures.
- Guide and train CNC operators on programming, tool selection, machine setup, and best practices.
- Review setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement activities across the CNC machine shop.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, cycle time, costs, and improve productivity.
- Implement 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Encourage operators to participate in improvement activities and idea generation.
- Track and present Kaizen results and cost savings to management.
- Supervise CNC operators, setters, and technicians.
- Allocate work, monitor progress, and evaluate team performance.
- Develop skill matrices and training plans for workforce development.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams.
- Maintain shop-floor discipline and ensure smooth production operations.

Job Requirements
- Qualification: BE with 5 years of experience or DME with 8 years of experience.
- Experience: 3–5 years in CNC machining, including 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience in CNC programming; Fanuc controls preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and CNC machine capabilities.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple CNC operators, setters, and technicians.
- Knowledge of Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
