Job Title: CNC / VMC Milling Machine Operator
LOCATION: Pashamylaram, Isnapur
Job Summary:The CNC/VMC Milling Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC/VMC machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:- Operate CNC/VMC milling machines to manufacture components as per technical drawings and job specifications
- Set up machines including tool selection, fixture alignment, and parameter setting
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets accurately
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using measuring instruments
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per required standards
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks
- Identify and troubleshoot basic machine or tooling issues
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for process improvements
- Maintain production records, reports, and job cards
- Follow all safety guidelines, SOPs, and company policies at all times
Required Skills & Competencies:- Strong understanding of CNC/VMC machine operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T basics
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets
Qualifications:- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
- Certification in CNC machining is an added advantage
Experience:- Fresher to 3+ years of experience in CNC/VMC machining operations
Work Environment:- Manufacturing / Production shop floor environment
- Requires standing for long hours and handling machinery
