Role Description The CNC Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing CNC machining operations and ensuring efficient, high-quality production. Daily tasks include planning and allocating work to CNC operators, monitoring machine performance, and resolving technical or process issues on the shop floor. The role involves reviewing drawings and process plans, setting or approving CNC programs and tooling, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. The CNC Supervisor is actively involved in production planning, quality, and maintenance to meet delivery schedules, minimize downtime, and optimize resource utilization. Additional responsibilities include training and mentoring team members, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across CNC operations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, workload planning, and performance monitoring in a CNC or machining environment.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting technical drawings, troubleshooting process issues, and improving cycle times and efficiency.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams, guide operators, and report production status clearly.
- Candidates should possess basic Finance and cost-awareness skills to support budgeting, cost control, and efficient use of materials and tooling.
- Candidates should possess Training and coaching skills to develop CNC operators, promote best practices, and support a culture of safety and quality.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related field, with hands-on experience in CNC machining and programming (turning and/or milling).
- Working knowledge of CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens), tooling selection, fixturing, and process optimization in a precision manufacturing setup.
- Understanding of quality standards and measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, vernier calipers, gauges), and familiarity with ISO
