Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a CNC Setter, VMC Setter, and QC Inspector. The role involves setting up and operating CNC and VMC machines, loading tools and programs, performing trial runs, and ensuring components are produced to specified tolerances. The team member will interpret engineering drawings, adjust machining parameters, and perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Daily responsibilities include monitoring machine performance, identifying and correcting deviations, documenting inspection results, and maintaining records for quality control. The role also includes collaborating with production and quality teams to resolve issues, supporting process improvements, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Strong machining abilities, including CNC and VMC machine setting, tool selection, and understanding of cutting parameters.
- Programming skills for CNC/VMC machines, including basic program editing, offset adjustments, and interpretation of G-code or similar languages.
- Experience in quality control inspection, with proficiency in using measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Ability to support and train team members or operators on machine operation, basic programming concepts, and quality standards.
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Production, Tool & Die, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in precision machining.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work to tight tolerances and production deadlines.
- Understanding of shop floor safety practices and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Experience in a precision components or automotive/aerospace manufacturing environment is an advantage.
