Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CMM Operator located in Khed. The primary responsibilities include operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and measure parts/components for quality and precision as per engineering standards. The CMM Operator will analyze technical drawings, assist in developing inspection programs, ensure quality control by conducting accurate measurements, and maintain proper documentation of inspection results. The role also entails regular calibration of measuring equipment, troubleshooting machine issues, and collaborating with the quality assurance and production teams to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerances (GD&T).
- Experience in quality control, inspection processes, and using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Basic knowledge of calibration practices for inspection equipment.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine-related issues effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within teams.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Prior experience in CMM operations or quality assurance within manufacturing or engineering industries (preferred).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality and consistency.
- Working knowledge of basic computer applications for recording and analyzing inspection data.
