The Data Reliability Engineering team is the backbone of CME Group's data operations. We focus on ensuring the resilience, performance, and integrity of our critical data pipelines and platforms. We leverage cutting-edge observability practices, data analytics, and automation to proactively identify issues, optimize performance, and maintain the highest standards of data quality. We are seeking a visionary builder passionate about leveraging data to enhance system observability and drive operational excellence. What You'll Do You will join a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data observability within our critical infrastructure. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver ready to take ownership of complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment. Analyze requirements and collaborate with senior engineers to define and scope observability initiatives. Design and document innovative development procedures for observability environments. Enhance existing observability data initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and scalability. Participate actively in brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas for complex problem-solving. Troubleshoot and determine root causes for known issues, collaborating on solutions and verifying implementation. Pioneer and deliver results in a dynamic environment, adapting seamlessly to shifting priorities. Drive the implementation of data-driven monitoring strategies to improve system uptime and reliability.
