Location Name: Pune - Wakdewadi
Job Purpose
Own end-to-end centralised collections for Auto & Equipment lease rental payments across corporate clients. Coordinate proactively with client finance/AP, internal banking operations, and key account managers to ensure accurate MIS/invoice submission, timely acknowledgements, on-time payment realisation, quick issue resolution, and complete post-closure documentation (NDC, reconciliations), while meeting agreed SLAs and regulatory/company policies.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Client Coordination & Collections: Coordinate with corporate clients to collect Auto & Equipment lease rental payments as per agreed frequency (monthly/quarterly/annual). Track due dates, agreement terms, and exceptions; ensure realization within timelines.
- Pre-billing & MIS: Work with Banking Ops to prepare and submit MIS/annexures in the client-prescribed format; seek written confirmation of correctness; drive timely corrections if required.
- Invoicing: Coordinate invoice submission to clients as guided (with/without PO) via the correct channel/portal/email; obtain acknowledgement/GRN where applicable; ensure 100% submission within TAT and accurate tagging.
- Payment Follow-up: Send reminders until credit is received; place calls/emails to AP/Treasury; capture payment advice/UTR; update trackers daily.
- Escalations: Escalate non-responsiveness or slippages to Key Account Managers and senior stakeholders as per the escalation matrix; document all actions.
- Overdues Management: Inform clients on days past due and contractual obligations; agree on promise-to-pay dates; monitor and drive closures.
- Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliation with client finance; circulate and obtain sign-off on ledger statements; maintain reconciliation formats and trackers.
- TDS & Deductions: Reconcile TDS and other deductions; collect TDS certificates/26AS support; raise credit/debit notes as per process; resolve mismatches swiftly.
- Residual Value / End-of-Term: Follow up for residual value/termination dues post lease-end; track collection until credit and closure.
- NDC & Post-Closure Docs: Issue No Dues Certificate and other closure documents promptly after realization and reconciliation; maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Issue Resolution: Liaise with internal teams (Banking Ops, Finance, Product, Legal, IT) to correct MIS/invoices, resolve portal/PO issues, and remove payment blocks.
- Reporting & Analytics: Publish daily/weekly dashboards on collections status, CE%, DSO, age buckets, dispute log, and action plans; highlight risks and mitigations.
- Compliance & Controls: Adhere to company policies, audit requirements, data accuracy standards, and client contractual terms; maintain robust documentation and approvals.
Key Decisions / Dimensions
- Prioritization of follow-ups and escalation triggers as per policy.
- Approval of reconciliations and closure documentation within delegated authority.
- Recommendation of waivers/adjustments/credit notes within approval matrix.
Major Challenges
- Client-specific MIS/invoice formats and portals; PO/GRN dependencies.
- Multi-stakeholder alignment across client AP/Treasury, internal Banking Ops, and KAMs.
- Resolving TDS mismatches and short payments quickly to protect CE%.
- Maintaining high SLA/TAT adherence during peak billing cycles.
Educational Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate; MBA preferred.
- Strong command of MS Excel; working knowledge of ERP/collection systems.
Work Experience
- 6–10 years in corporate collections/AR, preferably in leasing/asset finance.
- Experience coordinating with large enterprise clients and internal banking/finance teams.
