Accountabilities

• Craft the ELK Vision : Architect and optimize the ELK platform for large-scale deployments,- ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Master of Data Insights : Design and build impactful Elasticsearch indices,- dashboards,- and visualizations to transform raw data into actionable intelligence.
• Automate for Efficiency : Utilize Python,- PowerShell,- and REST APIs to develop seamless integrations and automate routine tasks.
• Champion Best Practices : Establish and enforce development standards,- fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
• Collaborate for Success : Partner with stakeholders across teams (platform,- development,- product) to achieve shared observability goals.
• Innovation Catalyst : Champion AIOPS and touchless operations,- driving continuous improvement and exploring cutting-edge solutions.
• Subject Matter Expert : Act as the ELK guru,- collaborating with Enterprise Architecture on reference designs and advising leadership.
• Execute the Roadmap : Oversee the strategic SRE Observability program,- ensuring alignment with CTO and stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Ace : Tackle advanced troubleshooting challenges within the observability system,- ensuring optimal performance.
• Tech-Savvy Leader : Develop and implement scripts and tools,- manage data pipelines,- and integrate with core services and platforms.
  
  

Continuous Improvement : Drive ongoing initiatives to refine observability systems and adapt to emerging.

Experience

• 8+ years of expertise with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, APM, Beats).
• 6+ years of experience developing and integrating with Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
• End-to-end experience administering ELK Stack production systems.
• Proven ability to design efficient Elasticsearch indices and dashboards.
• Strong scripting skills in Python (essential) and familiarity with other languages (i.e., Json).
• Familiarity with container infrastructure (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes) and configuration management tools (i.e, Ansible).
• Hands-on experience with Elastic APM, ILM Lifecycle, and event management/analytics.
• Demonstrated commitment to best practices and quality assurance.
• Experience with Logstash pipelines and Grok parsing (a plus).
