Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect – AWS & Azure (Multi-Cloud)

About the Opportunity
We are hiring for a US-based technology consulting firm, for a Cloud Solutions Architect with strong hands-on expertise in AWS as the primary cloud platform and working knowledge of Microsoft Azure. This is a client-facing role supporting enterprise-grade cloud environments across multiple industries. You will work closely with US-based engineering and business teams to design, deploy, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
Cloud Architecture & Design
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud architectures following the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Build and manage multi-account AWS environments including landing zones, AWS Organizations, and Service Control Policies (SCPs)
- Architect multi-region and hybrid cloud solutions with defined RTO/RPO targets for disaster recovery
Infrastructure & Automation
- Own Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation — building reusable modules and blueprints, not just running scripts
- Build and maintain multi-environment setups (Dev / UAT / Prod) with full automation
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Azure DevOps
Cloud Operations & Reliability
- Take end-to-end ownership of production cloud environments — incident management, RCA, on-call support
- Define and track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets for critical workloads
- Implement observability stacks using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or equivalent tools
- Design and execute backup, DR, and business continuity strategies
Containers & Kubernetes
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS
- Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD or Flux for Kubernetes deployments
- Support blue-green and canary deployment strategies for zero-downtime releases
Security & Compliance
- Implement IAM roles, policies, SCPs, and least-privilege access controls at enterprise scale
- Enforce cloud security best practices — KMS encryption, WAF, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail
- Support compliance requirements such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or equivalent frameworks
Multi-Cloud & Azure
- Support workloads on Microsoft Azure — Azure VMs, VNets, Azure AD, AKS, Azure DevOps
- Assist in hybrid or multi-cloud connectivity and migrations between AWS and Azure
- Work on cloud-to-cloud or on-premises-to-cloud migration projects
FinOps & Cost Optimization
- Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives — rightsizing, Savings Plans, storage lifecycle policies
- Conduct Well-Architected Framework Reviews (WAFRs) to identify performance, reliability, and cost improvement opportunities
- Establish tagging standards and governance frameworks for cost allocation
What We Are Looking For
Must Have:
- 5–10 years of total IT experience with minimum 5 years of dedicated hands-on AWS experience
- Proven experience designing and owning cloud architecture — not just deployments or support
- Strong Terraform skills — module development, remote state, CI/CD integration
- Production-level Kubernetes/EKS experience
- Experience with AWS core services — EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS, Lambda, S3, Route53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains
- Strong networking knowledge — VPC design, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, DNS
- Experience with cloud migration projects (on-prem to cloud or cloud-to-cloud)
- Incident management and production support ownership — not just business-hours work
- At least AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or higher
Good to Have:
- Microsoft Azure hands-on experience (VMs, VNets, AKS, Azure AD, Azure DevOps)
- GCP exposure
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS DevOps Professional
- HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification
- CKA or CKAD certification
- Experience with Datadog, New Relic, or enterprise observability platforms
- HIPAA, SOC 2, or other compliance framework experience
- FinOps experience with quantified cost savings
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
