About The Role
The Supervisor II, Application Data & Cloud Security at Cargill plays a critical role in safeguarding the company's digital assets across multi-cloud and enterprise environments. This leadership position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security measures that protect application, data, and cloud infrastructures. The role involves managing a team dedicated to delivering transactional security services, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and aligning security strategies with business objectives. The Supervisor II will serve as a key interface between security teams, technology stakeholders, and business units, driving operational excellence, standardization, and automation in security service delivery. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior security or operations role within a large enterprise environment. A broad understanding of Application Security, Data Security, and Cloud Security is essential, along with hands-on experience managing transactional, request-based security services at scale. Strong knowledge of IT service management principles—including SLAs, workflows, metrics, and continuous improvement—is required. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders is critical. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, operational discipline, and a service-oriented mindset.
Preferred qualifications include experience working within product-aligned security organizations, familiarity with security tooling and platforms across application, data, and cloud environments, and a track record of driving service automation and self-service capabilities. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of transactional security services across application, data, and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
- Act as the operational owner for security service intake, fulfillment, and performance management, ensuring service levels meet business requirements.
- Partner with security product owners to translate security capabilities into well-defined operational services and workflows.
- Align security service delivery with evolving security strategies, organizational priorities, and risk considerations.
- Serve as a primary interface between security teams, technology stakeholders, and service consumers to facilitate clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Monitor service demand, throughput, and quality metrics, utilizing data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive standardization, automation, and simplification of security service processes to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
- Promote a service-oriented mindset within the team, emphasizing transparency, customer focus, and operational excellence.
- Set clear expectations with stakeholders regarding service scope, delivery timelines, and expected outcomes.
- Provide visibility into service performance, trends, and ongoing improvement efforts through regular reporting and communication.
- Represent security services in cross-functional discussions related to operational strategies and delivery models.
