Role Overview

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure for a high-traffic e-commerce platform. This role requires strong expertise in multi-cloud environments, infrastructure automation, and edge security, with a focus on ensuring uptime, performance, and cost efficiency during peak retail events.

You will work closely with platform, security, and application teams to deliver resilient infrastructure that supports business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform / OpenTofu
• Manage CDN and edge security (Fastly, Signal Sciences WAF)
• Implemen cloud security best practices (IAM, secrets, network segmentation)
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and optimize cloud costs
• Plan and ensure scalability during high-traffic events (sales, launches)
• Conduct load testing and ensure failover readiness
• Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years in cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, Shell)
• Experience in Agile / DevOps environments
• Strong experience with AWS & GCP (Azure exposure), Terraform, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Flux), GitHub/Artifactory
• Exp in HashiCorp (Vault, Consul, Nomad), Kafka, databases, Docker/Kubernetes (EKS, Rancher), networking, JIRA.
