Job Title : Cloud Engineer -FineOps
Experience : 4+ Years
Location : Navi Mumbai
About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud FinOps professional to drive financial accountability, cost transparency, and optimization across cloud environments. This role will enable efficient and scalable cloud adoption by working closely with engineering, finance, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Cost Management & Optimization
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud spend across AWS/GCP environments
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without impacting performance
- Implement cost optimization strategies and best practices
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for cloud spend
- Track and report cost trends, anomalies, and savings initiatives
Governance & Reporting
- Establish and maintain cost allocation and tagging standards
- Build dashboards and executive reports for leadership visibility
- Implement chargeback/showback models
Cloud Governance
- Define FinOps policies, guardrails, and cost controls
- Set up alerts, automation, and vendor billing reviews
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Application, Finance, and Procurement teams
- Act as a trusted advisor on cloud cost optimization and value realization
- Drive awareness and adoption of FinOps best practices across teams
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of AWS/GCP services and pricing models
- Hands-on experience with cloud cost management / FinOps tools
- Solid financial and analytical skills (budgeting, forecasting, cost modeling)
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; Power BI or Tableau is a plus
- Understanding of cloud architecture, containers, and DevOps practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience & Education
- 4–8 years of experience in IT, technology finance, or cloud cost management
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in FinOps or cloud financial management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
- FinOps Certification and/or AWS/GCP certifications preferred
