Role Description
We are seeking an five year experienced AWS Engineer for a full-time night shift on-site role based in Hyderabad, who will manage and support an end-to-end AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.)
The AWS Engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing cloud-based solutions, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring the security and scalability of cloud systems.
Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining Linux-based servers, managing databases, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with the development team to deploy and improve applications.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who can ensure the seamless operation of cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Five plus years of proven experience in Software Development and working with cloud-based applications.
- Good experience with MySQL (query writing, debugging, performance troubleshooting)
- Experience in AWS cost optimization and resource management
- Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards
- Strong knowledge of IAM, access control, and security best practices
- Someone who is a fast troubleshooter across infra + DB + application
- Understanding of production support / SRE concepts
- Comfortable working independently without much supervision
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.)
- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals
- Basic scripting (Python / Shell) would be a plus
Cost Optimization
- Continuously monitor and optimize AWS costs and resource utilization
- Identify unused/underutilized resources and recommend improvements
- Implement cost-saving strategies (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, right-sizing, auto-scaling)
- Work with teams to ensure efficient architecture design with cost awareness
