Position Summary:
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in automating and streamlining our cloud infrastructure and application deployment processes. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based applications. This person will be a member of a team that is responsible for the development and maintenance of a suite of Operational and Data analytics products that helps in improving and maximizing the ability of the Operations teams in managing their video operations.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , IT or relevant courses and certifications.
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud DevOps or related roles.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python/Shell Programming
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge/understanding of Linux systems administration; proficient in use of command line interface and basic scripting (shell, Perl, etc.)
- Strong knowledge/understanding of internet protocols and standards (e.g. IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS)
- Experience in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack to analyze logs and metrics.
Desirable Skill:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.
- Experience in working with large scale bigdata and analytics platform
- Database administration handling large relational databases, data migration and replication strategies
- Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience of Internet media (particularly video) delivery , IPTV is a plus.
Main Responsibility Area:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, GCP.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud environments.
- Design and implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Manage and optimize containerized applications in production environments.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards.
- Continuous Improvement – Keeping up to date with new product information and process changes, and contributing to knowledge base and tools via development of new/updated documentation or software.
- Documentation – Generate clear and concise documentation in the form of configuration records, Standard Operating Procedures, technical tips, etc.
