Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Migration Engineer with 4+ years of experience in designing and executing cloud migration strategies. The candidate should have hands-on experience with any major cloud platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and execute end-to-end cloud migration strategies
- Perform application, database, and infrastructure migration to cloud
- Assess existing workloads and recommend lift-and-shift / replatform / refactor approaches
- Work with stakeholders to define migration roadmap and timelines
- Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migration
- Implement cloud security, compliance, and governance policies
- Optimize cloud resources for cost and performance
- Troubleshoot migration issues and provide solutions
- Automate migration processes using tools/scripts
- Document architecture, processes, and best practices
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in cloud migration / cloud engineering
- Hands-on experience with at least one:
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC)
- Microsoft Azure (VMs, Azure SQL, VNet)
- Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cloud architecture & networking
- Virtualization and containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Linux/Windows administration
- Experience with migration tools:
- AWS Migration Hub / DMS
- Azure Migrate
- GCP Migration tools
- Scripting knowledge (Python / Bash / PowerShell)
- Understanding of DevOps practices & CI/CD pipelines
