About The Role
The Azure Cloud Engineer at Pellera Technologies plays a vital role in designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing cloud solutions within the Microsoft Azure platform. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of customer environments in a managed services context. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud services aligned with client objectives and industry best practices. Based in Puebla or remotely, the Azure Cloud Engineer will support ongoing operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure. A minimum of five years of overall IT experience, with at least three years focused specifically on Azure cloud environments, is required. Relevant certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) are preferred, with additional certifications like AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer) and AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect) considered advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities in English, and a proactive attitude towards learning and improvement. Prior experience working within managed services or MSP environments, familiarity with multi-tenant architectures, and a solid understanding of cost management principles in Azure will significantly enhance candidacy.
Responsibilities
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of technical and operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring and managing service requests, incidents, and change management processes in accordance with established SLAs and operational procedures.
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for Azure-based environments to ensure prompt resolution of issues and high customer satisfaction.
- Participating actively in incident response, escalation procedures, and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and improve service quality.
- Maintaining clear, proactive communication with internal teams and clients regarding service status, risks, and ongoing activities.
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining Azure infrastructure components, including IaaS and PaaS solutions, based on industry best practices.
- Implementing security, identity, and governance solutions such as Azure Active Directory, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and policies.
- Optimizing cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform to automate deployments and configurations.
- Supporting onboarding processes for new environments and customers, ensuring smooth transitions into managed services.
- Collaborating with architecture, security, and application teams to deliver integrated and secure solutions.
- Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure operational consistency.
- Evaluating new Azure features and functionalities regularly, recommending improvements, and implementing best practices to enhance existing environments.
- Participating in on-call rotations and supporting activities to ensure 24/7 service availability as needed.
