About The Role
The Azure Cloud Engineer at Pellera Technologies plays a vital role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure platform. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud solutions. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining the health and performance of client environments, optimizing cloud resources for cost and efficiency, and supporting ongoing managed services operations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in Azure services, infrastructure, security, and automation, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by over five years of overall IT experience, with at least three years dedicated to Microsoft Azure. Professional certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) are strongly preferred, with additional certifications like AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer) and AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) considered advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, and a solid understanding of network, security, and cloud architecture principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components, adhering to best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor and manage service requests, incidents, and change management activities in line with SLAs and operational procedures.
- Provide advanced technical support (L2/L3) for Azure environments, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and high customer satisfaction.
- Participate in incident response, escalation processes, and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of issues.
- Implement and manage identity and access solutions such as Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost-efficiency, and security, utilizing tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform for consistent and repeatable deployments.
- Support onboarding processes for new clients and environments, ensuring seamless integration into managed services.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to develop integrated cloud solutions aligned with business goals.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for cloud environments and processes.
- Stay informed about new Azure features and industry best practices, recommending improvements to existing environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support activities to ensure continuous service availability.
- Contribute to the development of automation scripts and processes to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
