About The Role
The role at Infosys is designed for experienced professionals who are passionate about cloud technology and digital transformation. As a key member of the cloud solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing cloud-based solutions primarily on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise will help clients modernize their legacy systems, migrate workloads to the cloud, and develop scalable, secure, and efficient applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to thought leadership in cloud technology. Whether you are a Consultant, Senior Consultant, Lead, or Principal Consultant, your role will be pivotal in delivering innovative solutions that meet client needs and drive business success.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a strong technical background with a minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience for Consultant/Senior Consultant roles, and at least 10 years for Lead/Principal positions. A proven track record in solution architecture, design, and technology delivery, especially with GCP services, is essential. Relevant certifications such as GCP Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with microservices, Kubernetes, serverless computing, cloud-native application development, and migration of on-prem workloads to cloud environments. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are crucial. Knowledge of DevSecOps tools, cloud containerization technologies like Docker and GKE, and familiarity with UI frameworks such as Angular or React are additional advantages.
Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze client requirements, refactor systems for workload migration and modernization to GCP.
- Lead end-to-end feature development, addressing challenges faced during implementation.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand issues and develop solutions.
- Contribute to thought leadership within cloud technology and stay updated with emerging trends.
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-native applications using GCP services.
- Develop and implement migration strategies for on-premises workloads to cloud environments, including VM, PaaS, containers, and serverless services.
- Participate in solution design reviews, code reviews, and quality assurance processes to ensure best practices.
- Utilize DevSecOps pipelines, tools like Jenkins and GitOps, and containerization technologies such as Docker and GKE.
- Create detailed documentation and technical specifications for cloud solutions.
- Engage in client discussions, providing technical guidance and strategic insights to facilitate decision-making.
