About The Role
The role of Consultant/Senior Consultant at Infosys is a pivotal position designed for professionals with a passion for cloud computing, solution architecture, and digital transformation. As a key member of our cloud services team, you will be responsible for understanding client needs, designing innovative solutions, and leading the implementation of workload migration and modernization projects primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects that shape the future of our clients’ digital infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with stakeholders at various levels, and contribute to thought leadership in cloud technology and solution design. Your expertise will directly influence the success of client engagements and the development of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-native applications.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a solid technical background with 5-8 years of experience, including at least 2 years in solution architecture, design, and technology delivery focused on GCP services. A proven track record of developing and deploying cloud solutions using microservices, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and cloud-native databases is essential. GCP certification is highly preferred. Candidates should have hands-on experience with application modernization, migration of on-premises workloads, and implementing DevSecOps pipelines. Strong communication skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are vital. A background in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, .NET, Python, or similar technologies, along with knowledge of RESTful APIs, containerization tools like Docker and GKE, and cloud SDKs, will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, analyze complex technical situations, and provide innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Understand and analyze client requirements, refactor systems for workload migration and modernization to GCP, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
- Lead end-to-end feature development, troubleshoot implementation challenges, and ensure seamless delivery of cloud solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure project success.
- Design and architect cloud-ready applications, leveraging best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
- Contribute to thought leadership by sharing insights, best practices, and innovations within the domain of cloud technology.
- Stay updated with emerging cloud trends, tools, and frameworks to continuously enhance solution offerings.
- Support migration and modernization initiatives, including refactoring on-prem applications for deployment on VMs, PaaS, containers, or serverless services.
- Participate in technical reviews, code reviews, and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative learning environment.
