You should have proven expertise in designing and implementing automated infrastructure solutions, with a focus on cloud platforms, preferably AWS. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to act as a technical lead are essential. You must have extensive experience with distributed systems, container orchestration (particularly Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, and ArgoCD. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Crossplane is required. Familiarity with hosting and supporting Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket is a plus. Strong scripting skills in Python, Ruby, or Bash are necessary for automation tasks. You should also have a solid understanding of monitoring and logging platforms like Splunk or Grafana, and a security-first mindset to ensure best practices are followed throughout all projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and highly available, primarily using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Oversee and manage systems for alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and continuous monitoring to ensure operational stability and performance.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to build fault-tolerant, resilient services aligned with infrastructure best practices.
- Enhance and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed, reliability, and automation coverage.
- Implement security best practices across all cloud and infrastructure components, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical engineering projects and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly.
- Automate administrative tasks using APIs and scripting, reducing manual effort and increasing operational efficiency.
- Maintain and support tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, ensuring seamless integration and workflow management.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, continuously improving infrastructure capabilities.
