About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at iZen Labs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. You will play a critical part in automating deployment processes, modernizing infrastructure, and implementing best practices across our cloud environments, primarily focusing on OCI and GCP platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, automation tools, and container orchestration, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility of WFH and the challenge of supporting our operations across different time zones, including the USA night shifts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in DevOps, with substantial expertise in GCP or OCI cloud platforms. A strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation is essential. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is required, along with proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana is also necessary. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers are highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to troubleshooting, automation, and implementing security best practices, including Zero-Trust architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions primarily using GCP and OCI, ensuring high availability and security.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) to automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling of applications.
- Develop and enforce security best practices, including Zero-Trust architecture, to safeguard cloud environments and data.
- Establish comprehensive monitoring and observability frameworks using Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure system health and performance.
- Lead automation initiatives to streamline infrastructure management, deployment, and troubleshooting processes.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and best practice sharing within the engineering team.
