AWS Cloud Engineer (Remote)
Experience : 7 to 10 years
Domnic Lewis International is hiring an AWS Cloud Engineer for an exciting opportunity with a fast-growing organization.
We are looking for professionals with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and scalable cloud architecture.
Cloud Infrastructure Engineering :
- Deploy, configure, and support AWS infrastructure across EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, API Gateway, and IAM
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
- Support hybrid-cloud & multi-account AWS environments
- Contribute to PoCs for new AWS services and automation frameworks
DevOps & Automation
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Automate provisioning, deployments, and configuration management
- Implement monitoring & observability using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenSearch
- Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline release workflows
Operational Excellence
- Ensure resiliency through backup, DR, and failover strategies
- Participate in incident response & root-cause analysis
- Drive performance optimization and AWS cost efficiency initiatives
Security & Compliance
- Apply security-by-design across networking, IAM, and encryption
- Work within regulated environments aligned with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2 frameworks
- Support audit readiness and compliance remediation activities
Technical Collaboration
- Partner with architects on cloud design strategy
- Mentor engineers and promote DevOps best practices
- Contribute to standards, documentation, and operational runbooks
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years in AWS Cloud and Infrastructure Engineering
- 3+ years hands-on AWS experience
- Strong IaC expertise (Terraform / CloudFormation / AWS CDK)
- CI/CD automation & observability tooling experience
- Containerization & orchestration exposure (EKS/ECS/Kubernetes)
- Experience supporting production systems in regulated environments
