About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Azure Synapse Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and developing scalable analytics solutions within the Azure ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines, optimizing query performance, and supporting advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives using Azure Synapse Analytics. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions that drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a minimum of four years of hands-on experience working with the Azure Data Platform, particularly Azure Synapse Analytics. Strong proficiency in T-SQL, SQL Server, and data warehousing principles is essential. Candidates should have practical experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Blob Storage, and Power BI. Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas), and data validation techniques is required. Familiarity with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for data deployment is also important. Additionally, a good understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in cloud environments is necessary to ensure data integrity and regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage large-scale data pipelines utilizing Azure Synapse Analytics to facilitate efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Integrate data from diverse sources such as Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, Blob Storage, and APIs into Synapse, leveraging Azure Data Factory for orchestration.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data transformation and analytics workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions for reporting and analytics.
- Implement data partitioning, indexing, and performance tuning strategies within Synapse to enhance query speed and pipeline efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues related to Synapse pipelines and queries to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Work within CI/CD frameworks to automate deployment processes, ensuring version control and streamlined updates.
- Maintain data quality, security, and compliance standards, ensuring sensitive information is protected and regulatory requirements are met.
