Role Overview
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud-based solutions across client environments. You will work with AWS, Azure, and GCP to ensure infrastructure reliability, performance, and security, while supporting development and DevOps teams with automation, monitoring, and containerized deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver secure, scalable cloud architectures for client workloads on AWS/Azure/GCP.
Implement system hardening, security best practices, and configuration management across cloud and server infrastructure.
Build and manage CI/CD and code release pipelines for development, staging, and production.
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Configure and manage monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, PRTG, etc.
Maintain uptime, reliability, and performance of cloud infrastructure and hosted applications.
Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of servers, storage, networking, and virtual environments to support scaling.
Support developers/DevOps teams in building and deploying containerized services using Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
Identify bottlenecks in the development and deployment lifecycle and automate repetitive tasks.
Ensure servers and services follow cloud and infrastructure best practices for reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Technical Qualifications
Hands-on experience with cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
Strong experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, CloudFront, VPC, ECS/EKS, etc.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, PRTG or similar.
Good understanding of networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and update/deployment servers.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CodeBuild) and version control platforms (GitHub, GitLab).
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell.

Confident and clear in client-facing discussions and able to respond to queries effectively.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or related roles.
Foundational or associate-level certifications such as AZ‑900 (Azure Fundamentals) or AWS Cloud Practitioner are a plus
