About the Role
Are you a hands-on Cloud Developer with a passion for building resilient, scalable infrastructure? Zortech Solutions is looking for an experienced Cloud Developer / DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team.
In this role, you'll take ownership of designing, deploying, and optimising cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, driving automation at scale and enabling rapid, reliable software delivery. 🛠️ What You'll Do
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS, and more.
• Automate cloud resource provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Build and manage containerised applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes on EKS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, Helm charts, Jenkins, or GitLab CI to streamline releases.
• Ensure infrastructure is secure, highly available, and cost-optimised to meet business and technical requirements.
• Implement continuous monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with development and operations teams to reduce downtime and improve deployment velocity.
• Write and maintain cloud automation scripts using Python and TypeScript.
• Contribute to microservices, containerised, and serverless application architectures.
✅ What We're Looking For
Required:
• 4–5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Development and DevOps Engineering, with a strong AWS focus.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, EKS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for containerised workloads.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Solid scripting and programming skills in Python and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices — IAM, network security, data protection.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch.
• A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Azure Cloud environments.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway) and microservices patterns.
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.).
• Background in cloud cost management and optimisation strategies.
• Agile / Scrum working experience.
