This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technology, contribute to innovative insurance solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire Policy Center, with preference given to those familiar with Guidewire Cloud Platform. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Guidewire Policy Cloud Developer will be responsible for a broad range of tasks to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-native insurance solutions. Key responsibilities include configuring Policy Center entities such as Advanced Product Designer, Data Model, Product Model, Rating, PCF UI, Workflows, Rules, and Localization to meet client specifications. Developing custom components using Gosu, plugins, messaging, batch processes, and event-driven patterns will be a core part of your role. You will implement Guidewire Cloud-specific patterns, including cloud services, feature toggles, tenancy, and environment management, to ensure robust deployment in a multi-tenant environment.
Building and maintaining REST/SOAP APIs for internal and external integrations with systems like Billing Center, Claim Center, payment gateways, document services, and rating engines will be essential. Leveraging Guidewire's Integration Framework, Messaging, and WS-I compliant services will be part of your daily tasks. You will contribute to DevOps initiatives by supporting CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud environments, tenant configurations, and release processes following change governance policies.
Optimizing system performance and reliability by analyzing logs and telemetry data, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing necessary fixes will be crucial. Ensuring the security and compliance of solutions by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, supporting automation frameworks, and adhering to security best practices such as secrets management and least privilege policies will be expected. Participation in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies will help foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring continuous improvement and high-quality deliverables.
