Job Purpose
Experion Technologies is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect with a strong focus on infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). This role requires expertise in AI-driven cloud automation, including AIOps, MLOps, and FinOps practices. The candidate will work directly with enterprise architects from US, Australia, and European customers to deliver innovative cloud solutions and architectural designs. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills are essential for success in this customer-facing role.
Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities
•
Multi-cloud expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) is mandatory – solid understanding and hands-on experience setting up and managing cloud infrastructure and services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Security groups, VPN, Azure VMs, AKS, GKE, etc.)
•
Proficiency in networking and network security e.g. SSL/TLS certificates, VPN IPSec tunnels, firewalls, WAF, DDoS protection
•
Knowledgeable of web/application servers and load balancers such as Amazon ELB/ALB/NLB, Azure Load Balancer, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache Http Server etc.
•
Extensive experience with designing and managing cloud security using IAM, RBAC, Azure AD, AWS Organizations, SCPs AI & Automation Skills (Mandatory):
•
AIOps expertise – implementing intelligent monitoring, automated incident response, and predictive analytics using tools like Datadog, Dynatrace, PagerDuty,or similar.
•
MLOps experience – building and managing ML pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and versioning (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI)
•
Ability to design self-healing infrastructure and automated incident response workflows to reduce "toil."
•
FinOps practices – cloud cost optimization, resource rightsizing, reserved instance planning, and cost allocation strategies
•
Awareness of latest market trends, emerging cloud technologies, and AI adoption patterns in enterprise environments DevOps & Platform Engineering
•
Application development background (Java/.NET/Python) to understand application architecture and integration requirements
•
Solid understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery best practices, and experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps etc.
•
Solid experience with build and SCM tools - Maven, Gradle, Git, Jira, SonarQube
•
Sound knowledge on containerization concepts, Docker and Kubernetes and good working knowledge on various Kubernetes environments (standalone clusters and managed services like EKS, AKS, GKE)
•
Good knowledge of Monitoring/Observability tools and processes – CloudWatch, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, OpenTelemetry
•
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, Pulumi, Crossplane as infrastructure-as-code
•
Exposure to microservice architecture, API gateway, Service Mesh, Blue/Green deployments, Canary deployments
•
Experience with serverless approaches using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions
•
Prior migration experience with on-prem to cloud and cloud-to-cloud migrations
•
Understanding of Agile principles and experience participating in scrums and agile processes
•
Scripting Skills – Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go Duties and responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Solution Architecture:
•
Work directly with enterprise architects of US, Australia, and European customers in providing solutions and architectural designs
•
Excellent communication, presentation, and articulation skills to convince customer stakeholders and technical teams
•
Prepare and present potential technical solutions and advise customers, businesses, and product owners on the technical and business value of proposals, including appropriate trade-offs
•
Involve in Pre-sales/Development activities and provide cloud solutions to customers
•
Onsite travel may be required for short-term engagements with customers
Technical Leadership & Hands-on Execution:
•
Cloud platform Design & Architecture with focus on infrastructure resilience and scalability
•
Must be willing to be hands-on when critical situations arise – troubleshooting, incident response, and emergency fixes
•
Migration of infrastructure/applications to hybrid/multi-cloud environments
•
Designs and implements cloud solutions/infrastructure for organizations/applications, collaborating with customer stakeholders and application architects
•
Architecting solutions using cloud infrastructure and services for application/product development
•
Support Development team to leverage various cloud services/integration services to provide better value to customers
AI-Driven Cloud Operations:
•
Implement and manage AI-based automation for cloud engineering platforms including proactive alerting and self-healing mechanisms
•
Design and implement AIOps solutions for intelligent monitoring, automated remediation, and predictive maintenance
•
Establish MLOps pipelines and practices for deploying and managing ML models in production
•
Drive FinOps initiatives – cost visibility, optimization recommendations, and governance policies
Security & Governance:
•
Responsible for designing comprehensive security architecture that aligns with organization's business objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements
•
Developing architectural solutions considering the organization's existing IT infrastructure to address security gaps
•
Ensuring the security of cloud-based data and applications against unauthorized access, theft, and other threats
•
Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop plans to address them
•
Work in close coordination with the Engineering team to adhere to ISMS Policies and procedures
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
•
Strong team mentoring skills – guide and develop junior architects and engineers
•
Should be able to work effectively as part of a team and foster collaborative environments
•
Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations best practices
•
Establish best practices for cloud adoption and work with IT teams to monitor cloud privacy and address technical issues
•
Good understanding of platform engineering – help team design/build efficient development systems
DevOps & Platform Engineering:
•
Systems automation, orchestration, deployment, and implementation
•
Write infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi or similar
•
Technical direction in design and implementation of CI/CD processes and pipelines
•
A commitment to best practices on operational processes for DevOps
•
Manage code repositories and create branching strategies to improve software development efficiency
•
Evaluation of cloud providers, cloud applications, hardware, and software
Job Specification / Skills and Competencies
Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications and work experience.
Preferred Certifications:
•
AWS Solutions Architect Professional / Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
•
Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) preferred
•
Cloud security certifications (CCSP, AWS Security Specialty) are a plus
